A friend of mine helped purchase something for me in US and I wanna use Wise to send money over to pay back.

Has anyone used Wise to send money to a US bank account before? When sending money, do I use ACH or SWIFT?

I use wise on a regular basis. Sending money through wise is pretty straightforward, all you need to know is your friend’s reference number, this is the number you’ll need to enter in wise.

The process of sending money in wise in general starts by clicking on “send”, then add the recipient (reference number or email), how much the recipient will get in usd (it’ll automatically calculate the amount in RM for you), then wise will ask you the purpose of the transaction (I usually will put for goods and services), then you’ll need to transfer the amount of money in RM (FPX is usually the cheapest option), then you hit send.

The recipient needs to have a wise account also, and then he can withdraw the money through his bank account.
