How many of you guys get apple care? is it worth it from your POV? first time MacBook user here. Much appreciated.

Didn’t buy since my macbooks all bought used. But it is advisable to purchase applecare for macs with display, its not cheap to repair

Sold off daughter's mbam1, mbam4 16/512 Sky Blue to her and just ordered mbam4 32/512 Starlight. I didn't really like the Sky Blue anyway.

Bonus: +RM270 for AirPods Pro 2. Apple BTS promo just started. Now got more choices for freebies, mouse, trackpad in addition to the usual AirPods but no more AirPods Max.

Where do you find 32/512. There is no option for it on the apple store site.

Just select any MacBook Air M4 then you have options for more RAM and/or Storage (also different charger or keyboard.)

In addition to edu discount, remember to use Shopback for 2 or 2.5% cashback.

Ok, I see it as option now. Previously only up to 24gb ram max.

I don't quality for edu discount though. Maybe wait for laz/shopee sale check again.

Laz/Shp won't have 32GB though. If you can use sale RM500 vouchers, it's cheaper than edu discount which is about RM450.

Pulled the trigger on a base model today.
Been observing for a while, finally decided to pounce.
Won’t gonna be my main workhorse machine so base model will do, main thing is portability and battery life (and the performance when needed)

RM3481, SPayLater 6 Months 0%, and I settle the SPayLater on weekends over the 6 months with my Amex, get another RM174 back as cashback.
So effective cost will come to about RM3307
Don’t think anything come even close to this in terms of value

Wasn’t an urgent buy so waited till I thought it was 100% worth it

Updated to Tahoe, felt a bit of lag. Maybe give a few hours for Spotlight to finish re-indexing first.

Managed to snag an MBA 13 M4 Sky Blue from Switch Store on LZD for a reasonably good discount on 11-11. RM5088 for the 24GB RAM / 512GB SSD model.

Laptop arrived on 12-11 smile.gif

I’m loving it so far.

Wow, good deal. I missed that one.

Anyone buy sleeve for their MBA? which sleeve recommend? or is cheap RM20 no name sleeve from Shopee good enough?
