Debating if I should upgrade my MBP14 M1 to the new MBA, anyone done this?

Apple Store gave me a rather good trade-in price for my current machine making me even more tempted

What is your usage? M1 pro 14 inch quite capable machine even in 2025

mostly devops stuff and occasional virtual machine, looking to get the 13" 24gb spec as my current MBP14 only has 16gb. Don't feel performance is hampered but then again all these reviews online are really very potent racun

But MBP14 better cooling, display, ports, speakers. Unless u go for MBP14 M4, not really justify the ‘upgrade’ to MBA

same 2021 mba M1 but mine is 16/256. my only issue is the storage but solved via external SSDs. other than that, all still good even my battery still at 87% capacity.
*
Yep, later if needed can also upgrade the internal storage

How many of you guys get apple care? is it worth it from your POV? first time MacBook user here. Much appreciated.
*
Didn’t buy since my macbooks all bought used. But it is advisable to purchase applecare for macs with display, its not cheap to repair
