Any recommended tinted shop with good workmanship in Penang? Budget around RM500. My priority is more on heat rejection.
What is difference between IRR vs TSER?

You might want to try UV Kool. I have used it for two cars and am satisfied with the price and installation. I paid around RM800+ for my Axia and RM1200+ for my SUV.

Dont need to go for branded , those wat cool wat tech their products like N years ago those time no ppl fight with them thy put high price to chop9 ppl . Now alot brand spec/quality can fight with them all under 1k . Juz need to read review of the products . Im using 1 sputter HD firm RM500 the effect better then > RM1k tint .

for RM500 u will get a set of tint that is actually worth RM100.
increase your budget to 1k+ then you can get some decent tint like Hamel and Rhinepro.

RM500 hard to find with the one that has good worksmanship + high quality one, maybe at most you can get is just for 1 window
mine I spent on nearly 2k for a good tint spec on all windows, I forgot what I bought but hardly feel any heat from sun, but downside is smart tag I need open window to detect and pass the toll

Raytech wanted 1.4k but decided for M8 for half the price. Quality more or less the same. Heat rejection also same. Workmanship also more or less the same. Doubtful any tint can last 3 years without bubbling or peeling.
The el-cheapo brand used on my MPV already 1 year plus and still ok.

i feel 200 - 500rm tint is all the same, OEM and big claims. Just get someone who does a good job. More important you get a window shade in your car.

I found 1 car tinted shop in Penang.
Nano Ceramic Carbon UVR 99% IRR 95% 2HD 2 mil thickness Warranty 5 years US tinted paper
Can choose VLT from 30%-95%
Whole car tinted RM299 Add RM1 for SunX 8 inch
Do you think it is a good deal? Should I go for it? What else do I need to check and ask?

I got irispro the cheapest rm500 package for emat7. The tint film is good but the workmanship leave much to be desired.
I did try to see if the Sputter thing fit me but it tint yellowish, like your PC screen when you set Night Mode Blue Light reduction thing which I don't prefer.

500 cannot get heat rejection.
1500 possible.
Mine all 500-600. Minor heat rejection but darker.
Still within the JPJ specs.

my 2sen
back in the days, solar film will trap the heat in itself, so when you touch the film, it is hot... you put hand under the film, won't feel the sun, but somehow inside the car got oven feeling
nowadays, solar film technology is super mature, and it's more than just IRR, TSER specs - more important is use few years later it won't have wavy effect
go to shop, ask for house brand, and see if they use it on their own car, and then see got wavy effect or not - look through the windshield, move your head up and down, and see things in distance won't have wavy effect
my personal opinion - don't go brands with branches everywhere for small sedan, under 500 got many options
