Hi guys,
Just bought a 2020 Alphard. Only few months old but wife getting extremely dizzy in rear passenger seat. Last car was Merc GLC, never had a carsick problem. Now looking for options or ways to help reduce the car sickness.
Have been reading so much about body roll. Found 3 things that can maybe help? not sure if it's just their marketing.
1. Strut bars & Anti Roll Bars etc etc. I saw that Alphard already came with Strut bar and rear anti roll bar, but maybe not robust enough.
2. Change suspension?
3. Auto Foam. This is my last option since it's irreversible.
Anyone with any car sickness experience can help me on this? Really appreciate all the insights you guys can give.

Maybe drive less aggressively as the handling is unlike your old Merc GLA which has a lower center of gravity.

Options 1) Ask wife to drive & u sit behind 2) take motion sickness pills 3) walk 4) open window

Normal for cars like these.
Drive slower and smoother. Ask wife to sit in front and look forward

Bro, why you no test drive first with family... Already knew this problem with some of the tall box MPV.. The most is ask wife to sit in front or middle row and always fastern with seatbelt (My family found out that seatbelt really help secure and reduce car sickness when travelling). The last row is the most teruk 1, so most of the time only kids or people with high tolerance will seat the last row.
Check suspension condition, absorbers, lower arm, antirollbar bush/link etc, maintain good air-pressure & condition on 4 tires. Once the basic are check and fix, then only consider want to add in additional bars or not. Personally i wont recommend to add or mod the suspension, once mod you will reduce some comfort level to mitigate.

Change better absorber, my relative change due to the same reason too... He said the original absorber too soft, too bouncy

sit in front instead of rear.
usually rear especially the belakang seats easier to get car sick. (i think same as airplane but idk bc i dont sit on planes much) sitting middle seats help abit but sit in front least dizzy.
try to avoid using phone in car especially if can see outside with corner of your eye, confirm dizzy.
my wife also easy car sick, these are the steps we take to reduce lah, aside from car sick medicine which we dont take as of now.
edit: usually only car sick when sitting in vellfire as well. x70 kadang2. sit in front what car also no dizzy.

Install Ultra Racing's Rear Anti-Roll Bar / Rear Sway Bar / Rear Stabilizer Bar. Helps a reduce roll at the rear part of the car. Dont need to install the complete set front, centre and rear which I think is overkill. Replace the stock aborbers with KYB New SR (Blue) or Bilstein (Yellow). Makes your ride much firmer. Decided to change absorber. Now wife feels totally normal even at back seat. Turns out stock absorber too soft, giving the floating effect. Thank you everyone for your input.

Thank you everyone for your input. Stock absorber might be worn out already, that makes it feels floating, I'm glad you already replaced it, may i know which brand and how much does it cost you? 😉🎉🔥
