I own a pc right now and it kinda old already(bought in 2018). So now i want a new rig since my hd sometime undetected. Just need a cheap one. For browsing mostly i kinda can still use my old gpu. I dont play games nowaday. Should i buy used old rig or make a new one? I think 1k would do. But im definitely interested around 250. No need to be too powerful. Just enough to browse internet without any hiccup will do

why not change hdd to ssd instead?

2018 CPU should be a 8 or 9 Gen Intel? More than enough for browsing, light work

Sounds like you just need a new SSD

try get sandisk or crucial drives if you are on sata

nv3 if you are on nvme or KC3000 if have the budget

8gb ddr3 memory
256 ssd - new PNY
2gb 740m graphic.

with formatted Win10 ..

useable for torrent, web surf - chrome (10 tab), command and conquer game..

with Rm1k , i suggest if you can buy 8th gen laptop .. portable.. any area of house can use.
