Hi there, for all the sifus/tech savvy out there. I encountered a weird problem.
Starting from today, I switched to Unifi from Maxis due to various reason.
The technician finished setup the modem or router (The model name is ZXHN F6600P) for the unifi, and there's internet, which is correct.
However, I tried to link it with my tplink router AX73 but ends up no internet on the tp link router for some reason.
Then I noticed, is the unifi router a modem or a router? I am confused with the fibre wire direct connect into the router itself and it has internet, previously using Maxis I was using a modem connected then only conenct to the router, but this one is different, like two in one.

This is how I setup the TPLink Ax73:
1. Make sure the LAN Port 1 from Unifi Router is connected to TPLink Router WAN port.
2. Connect to the TPLink Wifi.
3. Login into 192.168.0.1.
4. Setup the PPPoE ID and Password following from the Unifi's router.
5. Changed my tplink's IPTV/VLan to Mode: Malaysia Unifi.

And that's about it, but still no internet and redlight from TPLink Router itself, am I missing something? or do I really have to purchase a new modem myself just to use TPLink router?
Or do I not bother at this point if the Unifi router is stronger than my old TPLink router?

ZXHN F6600P is a two in one ONR. meaning it is both modem and router
AX73 is AX5400, while ZXHN F6600P is AX3000 so ur old own router is stronger.
It need to be set up in bridge mode, meaning using ZXHN F6600P as modem only and using ur own router for network.

Lowyat unifi thread https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5424552/+9420
As I never tried with this ONR before, if u do not get response here can ask at the unifi thread. since ther will be more users with the same ONR

U got everything wrong.

1) make sure the TM router IP is not 192.168.0.1, if it is, change the IP for the TPLink.

2) factory reset the TPLink. subsequently set the TPLink to router mode. no need PPPOE ID Password & IPTV all these shit.

3) set the TPLink's wifi channel, SSID, password etc.

The correct method of connection & configurations :-

A. ZXHN F6600P
1. Ensure IP address = 192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0
2. Enabled DHCP Server, ensure range start from 192.168.0.10 ~ 254.
3. Enabled PPPoE settings (leave as is).
4. DISABLED WiFi functions.
5. Connect LAN Cable to Port #1.

B. AX73
1. Ensure IP address = 192.168.0.2 / 255.255.255.0
2. DISABLED DHCP server.
3. DISABLED PPPoE OR Configure to Access Point (AP) Mode.
4. Enabled WiFi functions.
5. Connect LAN Cable to Port #1.

Note : Refer to attached photo.

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

I disagree with this method due to Double NAT + better let the more powerful TP-Link handle PPPoE

Yes, the ZTE F6600P is a 2in1 modem + router
you need to disable the router side of it and use it only as a modem
Unfortunately, I can't give exact steps as that models is rare, usually people get Skyworth or D-Link, don't think a guide for the ZTE exists yet

but, try looking for "bridge" mode

Hi sifus

I have a similar issue here:

Newly subscribed to UNIFI 500Mbps
2 in 1 Modem Router provided: Fiberhome Combo box AX3000
Own router: TP-Link Wifi 7 BE400

1. Connect the Unifi modem router, Login to 192.168.0.1
2. Change the Unifi modem router to Bridge mode
3. Make sure the LAN Port 1 from the Unifi Modem/Router is connected to the TPLink BE400 WAN port.
4. Reset the TP-Link router
5. Connect the TP-Link router and Login in to 192.168.0.1.
6. Set up the PPPoE ID and Password following the Unifi router.
7. Changed my tplink's IPTV/VLAN to Mode: Malaysia Unifi
8. Managed to get internet, but the top speed is about 90Mbps only

Which part could be wrong?
Troubleshoot tried:
- Change to a different Ethernet cable
- Switch off TP-Link auto traffic control
- Reset and set up all over again

Check your LAN cable from Fiberhome to your BE400, maybe it is running at 100Mbps max, sometimes a loose cable or not connected properly would cause this issues.
