even if you're staying in J.B, you will be taxed accordingly to Singapore's Resident's Tax Rate when working full time in Singapore. 15% flat rate is when you're working in Singapore for less than 6 months and your income exceeds SGD 21,000 per annum MrBaba liked this post

Actually no one is tracking where you are staying you know. The onus is on you to declare. You will probably waste a lot of time liaising with Malaysia or SG custom to get your exit/entry record and tally them

QUOTE(knwong @ Feb 18 2025, 10:22 AM) Actually no one is tracking where you are staying you know. The onus is on you to declare. You will probably waste a lot of time liaising with Malaysia or SG custom to get your exit/entry record and tally them Only when you renew your PR, risk of losing it if you're staying outside of Singapore. But often people will use their relative address to renew, so not much an issue. |

QUOTE(xtylish @ Feb 18 2025, 03:46 PM) Which country is your employment contract is binding and has legal binding?Follow the employment contract as per what it stated like taxes and cpf or epf. You won’t be able to run away since your employer will declare and submit for CPF deduction and contribution, so, do you think you don’t need to pay tax? My case: I stayed and live in vietnam. But my employment contract is through HRBPO Malaysia, tax, epf education and contribution all properly done in Malaysia. Another time I got contract from SG company, paid in SGD, and for tax for non resident tax even I didn’t stay in Singapore This post has been edited by cuddlybubblyteddy: Feb 18 2025, 03:26 PM |
