Same platform but different ride and handling tuning. Alza is better. Lots of Proton RnH staff move over to Perodua since Geely takeover, Perodua nowadays no more shxt handling.

If you are more considerate towards the passenger, get the xpander

PS: Alza and Veloz same DNA. But they make Veloz gorund clearance slightly higher and have telescopic steering. Great for the driver cause improve driver's ergonomics

but if choosing between Veloz and Alza, if care about drive only just pick Alza top spec + whatever gear up. If want look a bit fancy inside can get Veloz but not really worth the 20k diff

i bought alza AV and adv 160 last year. both very reliable and have high resale value. at first i want to buy veloz. but the seller said need to que 1 year. alza now 3 months can get already. the only regret i have, i should wait zontes 368g come out instead of buying adv 160. haha

It's like driving a Wira 1.3 Automatic lo. For me i'll choose Alza anytime la. Most of the time i drive, my wife sit beside. I dont care whether my son feel comfortable in the middle seat or not.

Unfortunately there are no good options of MPVs under RM100k. If you need a 7 seater, you will be better off with a used Sorento or Santa Fe or maybe an older Alphard, from what I hear, even older Alphards are quote reliable.
