both cars also same platform, so if given that you have a budget of 100k, which will you get ?

Sat at the middle seat Alza before..  iwont be there again on journey longer than 1 hour . 15 mins in grab already suffered
*
in reddit, they are comparing aruz vs alza, and said alza is far better experience than aruz due to the platform and suspension.

both alza and veloz is same while aruz is same as toyota rush

so if you said alza is bad, means the whole MPV segment is bad 😥😓

It's a 7 seater mover to bring you from point A to B. But they never tell you what will be the ride quality icon_rolleyes.gif

Xpander will be a more comfortable ride but under-powered for the driver
*
true, so which 7seater has both handling and decent power ?

not sure la

QUOTE(Gargamel_gibson @ Feb 16 2025, 08:54 PM)
Same platform but different ride and handling tuning. Alza is better. Lots of Proton RnH staff move over to Perodua since Geely takeover, Perodua nowadays no more shxt handling.

If you are the driver most of the time, pick Alza. If you cannot tahan the waiting time, get Veloz. Their new hybrid DCVT provides are smoother power delivery

If you are more considerate towards the passenger,  get the xpander

not much different compare to alza but ativa is lighter and the turbo does help a bit in term of acceleration.
*
ah ok, for storage wise, ativa can carry a mountain bike (with front wheel dismantled) ? i was considering alza for my bike

tbh its really pointless to compare the entry level cars

just get whatever that's good selling and move on, dont try to be smarty pants and buy something "cold" then end up suffer when u cannot sell off & no RV

your goal is to live with it for 1-2 years at max then make enough money to upgrade to a better car
*
but alza or ativa /veloz is not really an entry car right ?

better go with alza in this case for ease.

looks like need to sacrifice back seat to store bike but my kid usually sits at the back.

maybe just stick with alza or aruz for below 90k

ppl who shop at this bracket basically only have p1 p2, choose whichever suit your criteria

If can afford better, its used proper mpv with sliding doors

for me the Veloz look more complete vs half-cook Alza. but no comments since it is an affordable car for parents with kids, especially the Alza. x90 sold at that price, who wanna buy that?
*
just trying to find the best bang for buck.

dont want to spend anything expensive for a depreciating asset

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Feb 18 2025, 11:38 AM)
please don't take this model/ brand. too many people complaining at FB, follow the Serena FB group. inb4 need AC Compressor change at average 2 years plus at expansive price?
*

It's like driving a Wira 1.3 Automatic lo. For me i'll choose Alza anytime la. Most of the time i drive, my wife sit beside. I dont care whether my son feel comfortable in the middle seat or not.

How can you compare an Alza with a Zeekr 009/Velfart/Carnival/Staria?
Alza is a cheap econobox made for a specific price segment and customer profile who want an mpv. There is a lot more to a vehicle than just the number of passengers it can accommodate.
*
sorry, i meant budget mpv below 100k

Unfortunately there are no good options of MPVs under RM100k. If you need a 7 seater, you will be better off with a used Sorento or Santa Fe or maybe an older Alphard, from what I hear, even older Alphards are quote reliable.
*
looks like need to up budget to 200k range and see 🤦‍♀️
