In the perfect world where you hv salary increments and minimal monthly expenses, 1 kid in gomen/sjk©. 2-3 local holidays, eat out once a week, money invested in asn/asb/asw/fixed deposit, drive saga/bezza/kapchai to work.

Haiyaa make it simple la, whatever you save is whatever you get.

Today 1 plate of jiken rice is about RM8.

If you save RM500 per month, it is enough to feed you lunch and dinner jiken rice for 1 month,

If you can save RM1000 per month, it means for every month you work, you can stay retired for two months. The more you save, the longer you can stay retired.

Assuming interest rates (EPF) match inflation, this will be true as long as EPF can keep it up.

No need to use magic crystal ball to predict ringgit value X years in the future.

by 2030, gomen should start giving people option for euthanasia....

coz retirement will be a luxury for a select few only... rest would just need to work till they drop...

If you at 30/40 now, don't bother 3m. At least 4m and other income
