My Hitachi last more than 10 years, zero issue. Touch wood.
Sometime voltage fluctuation can shorten fridge lifespan. Especially inverter compressor.

Been using hitachi for last 5 years, ok ah not bad.

Previously sharp also running good for 1X years before changing to a bigger hitachi model.

The old old ones indeed consume lots of electric around 70 Sen per day. But the latest gen before National being rebranded as Panasonic is more energy savings.

For fridge and air con, I prefer it not to last too long. Maybe between 12-15 years. Usually these actively used appliances will start to makan elektrik gila babi after 10 years.
