Motorcyle riding positon ergonomics

Hi sifoo sifoo sekalian
would like to understand a little regarding riding position ergonomics
I was riding an Xadv 750 and after 2 hours in, my right shoulder (the muscle between neck and shoulder) started to have a numbing pain
it stopped when i stoped to rest and came back when i starter riding again. i summarize that this has to do with the riding positon
question
1) How do i know that my riding position is correct? (eg. cyclist will have a few pointers for fitting but i cant find any for motorcycle) 2) is there any place in malaysia that does motorbike fitting to reduce this pain

is this the first it happens? ever happens when you ride other bike/scooter? any previous injury on the right shoulder?
imo, correct riding position is when you dont feel any tightness in your arm and legs during normal riding and cornering.
maybe your seating position is too far back that your right arm is more stretched out than usual riding position. consider adjusting the handlebar positioning, turn the handlebar so it move closer to you or use handlebar riser if needed.
or could just be muscle weakness and this pain will be gone once your body is used to it.

Simple.
You are stretched out too much. You shoulders need to be relaxed with your elbows bent out and upwards. Kinda like super Moto type riding style but less extreme.
A lot of people riding upright bikes experience this.
Try sitting closer and have your elbows bent a bit more.
If you are too stretched out, your joints are "locked"
Some people either get used to it or eventually find a more comfortable position over time. Many people unfortunately incorrectly assume an upright riding position is by default comfortable. It's not. You need to do what you need and adjust whatever adjustments that the bike can afford you to get the correct position that is comfortable
