Hmm....KK to Sandakan require me about 6 hours from google maps. What so interesting about Sandakan? I have only 7 days at Sabah this time. Going to Sandakan is a waste of travel time, no?

As Zack Styler mentioned, Sandakan is famous for Sepilok Orang Utan Rehab. Center.

What I did was I flew to Sandakan via AirAsia for a day trip (more like half day trip) from KK.

If you want to visit Sandakan, the best thing I could think of is that you start your journey/holiday from Sandakan first before proceeding to KK. After all the visiting in KK, then only you fly back to Peninsular.

Yeap. Most divers go there. But then again, there's no harm going there to enjoy beautiful beaches.

Ya enough, but not enough money to spend shopping for 7 days tongue.gif

Tg. Simpang Mengayau is in Kudat. And it takes 3~4 hours from KK to Kudat and another 30 mins to Tg. Simpang Mengayau.

There's a rather quiet beach there. It's called Pantai Kalampunian.

Is the weather in Kundasang fine throughout the year or will there be seasonal rainfall on certain months?
