No reason to upgrade really unless you have hardware problem.

If you watch youtube or streaming site a lot, then maybe you are looking for VP9 and AV1 decoding which could be done by even tiny CPU from Intel like the N series chip, N100, N200 or N305.

I want to recommend these tiny system to you but the CPU is not faster than your current 10400. I think if you really wanted AV1 support, then get a 11th gen CPU to upgrade your current one.

I can read. You already assume I didn't.

Also, clearly you never use iGPU from recent CPUs for work and browsing.

Would still stick with brand new GT730 if no reason to change anything else

Otherwise GT1030 would be around RM400+ brand new for 4gb vram can get

Can still use but not ideal as GT730 no longer has driver support meaning its ady obsoleted. If going to spend money anyways better to get something current imo.

Yup i also agree

but seems that ts is adamant to retain most of the components and does not want to increase budget

so i think this will have to do until then

if not into gaming, GT1030 (lower power usage, and confirm is DDR5, not to get DDR4) is newer, even GTX950 (higher power usage) is better in spec
oh ya, just check your PSU 650w...

Be mindful that GTX950 requires 6pin PCIE power from PSU while GT1030 looks like it no need additional power. Not all PSU has this (esp office PSU) so for compatibility sake go with GT1030 it will last you a bit longer.

I mean he has a 10th gen Intel CPU... surely there has to be a 6pin power connector PSU. If its the 2/3/4th gen Intel CPU then it could be different.

Besides I think GTX950 dont have 6pin... GTX960 could be different

If you're mainly using your PC for work and browsing, something like a GTX 1650 or an RX 550/560 would be a solid upgrade from the GeForce 210. I used to have a similar low-end card and upgrading to something in that range made a huge difference without going overboard on the price. With your budget, you should be able to find a decent used one. Just make sure to check the condition before buying, especially with used ones – you don’t want to end up with one that’s about to die on you!
