A 5,000mAh battery will be included, and 45W charging support. A 200-megapixel main camera will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera on the back. A 10-megapixel telephoto unit (3x optical zoom, OIS) will also be located back there, as will a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (5x optical zoom, OIS).

In b4 buy Samsung percuma green lightsaber on display after 2 years

Also Samsung is still stingy with that battery capacity. It’s 2025, you have stayed with that same battery 2 years straight now. Or you’re just waiting for Apple first to make a move before following like you always do

well check in your phone deeper.. single take function is the function which eats up all your storage space.

Not sure how much it can fetch let's hope for more.. or perhaps i would even trade it in with compasia? or samsung. I basically do not want to wait till the phone breaks before changing it. Will be getting it with 2 years warranty package for my wife.

Yup S24 light Saber just wait 1 more year. Now is S23 turn. You can read about S23 light saber in the Facebook page and even our lowyat S23 thread. But don't worry, I am sure most loyal Samsung users will just upgrade to newer S without much complaints.

stopped using samseng since they sneak exynos for Malaysia (and few countries) and SD for the rest of the world.
Even though they don't do that now....i still don't trust them
You can get better value phones for that amount.

Is S23 using same tech as S24? If they're all the same tech, then the same issue will likely affect S25 ohmy.gif

QUOTE(ryansxs @ Jan 11 2025, 02:07 PM)
stopped using samseng since they sneak exynos for Malaysia (and few countries) and SD for the rest of the world.
Even though they don't do that now....i still don't trust them
You can get better value phones for that amount.

Any suggestion for better value phones?

I mostly stick with Samsung because jack of all trades but they really damn Kiam siap with their charging speed after the incident. Design still the same after so many years.

Good thing about their phones here is that they have decent preorder bonus, of course not as good as previous ones but still better than other brands.

S22 Ultra bought when pre-ordered. Yesterday kena this shit.

Note FE (Note 7) can last until S22 Ultra, easily 5 years, no problem.

Going with how the trend is with Samsung, S25 Ultra display will spoil annually and you have to spend time backup and send to service centre.

it's called Planned Obsolescence (PO).

otherwise, how Samsung will be able to sustain?

They realized this, and quickly resort to PO strategy.

No more Samsung for me. Planned obsolescence period too soon. It's not even within the expected obsolescence period. You say Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 already obsolete and cannot run latest Android 15? laugh.gif

Samsung commited to provide support of 5 years, until 2027. That is how long a phone should last without display problem.

I am also using samsung now, and boycott iphone since my bad experience with their phone (charging port issue, spent thousand to fix yet still problematic, then my father iphone 12 have signal issue etc).
So far, my best experience was with huawei, it is sad that it is no longer supported by google services.

Me and my wife made shift from Chinese phones to Samsung, and we find it very satisfactory as a daily driver. In the pass those Chinese flagship killer, great in the first few months or a year. After that period everything start degrading.

Samsung is not the greatest but good overall, still getting 1.5 days battery life from the 3 years s22ultra.

Thinking of getting an iPhone purely for content creation and second phone.

Function wise, I hardly encounter newer model can do things that my older models can't so hardly find the need to upgrade. Photos always look somewhat the same.

When I do upgrade, it is because of certain newer functions. For example. I ditch the Exynos for SD because of battery life. I ditch the older phone because of inability to use eSIM. Can't think of anything else.

With these specs, better go for China brands.

Oppo Find X8, Vivo X200 & Honor Magic 7 are the star of this year.

Last years Samsung Ultra only won at camera department. This year even the camera got beaten, even by Chinese non pro versions.

On software department. ColorOS 15 by Oppo might've been already at the same level with OneUI.

For monitor, you can either bring along a cable to hook up to hotel's TV that cost ~RM20. With modern TV, you can even hook up wireless.

Or buy a cheap lightweight touchscreen monitor costing less than RM400 running off purely on phone's battery. I have this because sometimes I want to share phone document/photos with others. 14" beats 6+" anytime for effect biggrin.gif

For mouse or keyboard, you can either use the phone's inbuilt or buy a cheap Bluetooth ones. You could hook up about half a dozen Bluetooth device to the phone simultaneously

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the star of the show here. It will include a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which will be flat. It will have a WQHD+ (3120 x 1440) resolution, and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

At samsung malaysia website, in the contact us section got link to email to CEO.

I just use chatgpt to write the email.below

Subject: Escalation: Request for FOC Replacement for Green Line Defect on Samsung Phone

Dear [Samsung CEO's Name],

I hope this email reaches you in good health and spirits. I am writing to escalate an unresolved issue regarding a defect in my Samsung [model of your phone]. Specifically, the device has developed a persistent green line on the display, which has not been caused by any mishandling or accidental damage.

After researching and engaging with other Samsung users, I have discovered that this issue is widespread and has been reported by numerous customers. It appears to stem from a manufacturing or design defect, which I believe makes this a matter of corporate responsibility rather than an isolated case.

Unfortunately, when I approached Samsung Malaysia’s customer service team, I was informed that I would need to bear the cost of repair or replacement. This response has left me deeply disappointed, as I believe that loyal customers like myself should not be penalized for what appears to be a product defect. I have always appreciated Samsung’s commitment to innovation and quality, and I expected the after-sales service to reflect the same values.

As the CEO of Samsung, I am confident that you value customer satisfaction and brand trust. I kindly request your intervention to ensure that this defect is rectified at no cost to me. Offering free-of-charge repairs or replacements in cases like these would reinforce Samsung’s reputation as a brand that stands by its products and values its customers.

Attached to this email, you will find the necessary purchase details, along with photographs and documentation supporting my claim. I sincerely hope that you will take this matter under consideration and help expedite a favorable resolution.

Thank you for your time and understanding. I look forward to your response and a resolution to this issue. Please feel free to contact me at [your email address] or [your phone number] should you need additional information.

Warm regards,

One big reason I use Samsung is its Secure Folder (SC). It seems unique to Samsung because I don't know what other phone has it. Secure Folder has hardware encryption. For those who doesn't know about SC, let me explain.

Imagine you have a separate phone. This phone containing sensitive apps like banking apps and it's own camera and gallery or even a different Whatsapp account. Being a separate phone means more security. Secure Folder is this separate phone. Anything inside this phone has no connection to anything outside it.

The 1 I can think of now is world app... But remember there was another 1 also. Just keep popping up error... I think something to do with not being able to detect the device id or something.

Android 15 will have Private Space, an alternative to Secure Folder. May be Secure Folder would still be more secure with both hardware and software protection.
