One time when my ship docked at Zamboanga port, i decided to walk to the hotel instead of taking a tricycle. Saw a huge crowd at the PCSO Lotto outlet. A sign read that the 6/49 jackpot was P440,000,000 (approx RM43 mil at that time).

I jumped into the crowd (there was no queuing...that concept did not exist there) and after about 20min of maneuvering managed to get close enough to the counter to buy 5 lucky picks for that evening's draw. The next day I discovered I had hit 5 out of 6 numbers. The 6th number drawn was 41. The 6th number on that line on my ticket was 42. I can't remember the exact sum, but I got around the equivalent of RM2,800 for that, and took the cute counter clerk out for dinner

My memory's a bit fuzzy on that, but some years ago when the pot went past RM80mil (and was eventually won at RM97.75mil), I believe I did buy a system 7 lucky pick once. No harm to ask the counter clerk.

This reminds me of a few years ago...I was in jln padang belia, Brickfields wondering where to go makan dinner. Was the first time I saw a long queue snaking out from the toto shop...everyone was hot for the jackpot that passed RM80mil at that time. It was around 6.40PM. The magnum and dmc shops on the same block were quite empty.

I had bought my tickets the day before and idly looked at the line of punters in bemusement. Then someone shouted WOOOOI CEPAT LAAA...DAH LEWAT!! And then a few others joined in the shouting followed by rapid-fire loud grumblings in tamil. There happened to be 2 PDRM chaps patrolling the area on foot. They quickly went up to the shouters and had a word with them. It quickly became very quiet. The 2 cops then hung around the outside the toto shop. I shrugged and walked on to look for dinner. There is another toto shop nearby and as i passed it i saw that it only had a few customers Maybe the other toto shop is luckier to the punters.

This morning i went to wet market to get meats, veg n fruit. Saw pomelos and decided to get one. Asked the stall owner what was the color inside and she said 白色.

Got home and opened up the pomelo...



maybe today's the day... come to me jackpot!!
