I just bought Hotlink Prepaid eSIM from the Hotlink app, the final is Download Link, not QR. I am using eSIM Adapter for my phone, the app for eSIM Adapter can only scan QR, I can use Digi eSIM just fine coz Digi gave me QR that I can scan using the esim.me App. But Hotlink eSIM one is Download Link (can be opened in iPhone, but I am using Android Phone + eSIM Adapter = esim.me), not QR.
Just wanna know, if buy at Maxis Center, can request QR one? or only give Download Link one?
Thanks

why dont you try open it using the hotlink app on your android? because if using ios it is normal for the phone and app to initiate the install using backend api and you will not get the qr code.
only option now is to go in store and tell them you didnt bring the phone because if they see non compatible android they are not going to give the qr code

So I bought one from hotlink app for RM5, and it didn't give me any option or email on QR code. Contacted hotline, they recommend me to walk-in to Maxis Center and request for esim replacement - RM10 Since I can just buy a new esim in Maxis Center without paying the esim replacement fee, I tried my luck and clicked the Install button in the app. When the app request for esim access, I clicked deny. Interestingly, the app will then sent an email with required QR code as fallback. Oh well... You're welcome This post has been edited by kiawin: Jan 10 2025, 03:48 PM
