I purchased the Xiaomi TV A PRO 55" (2025 MY version), and both the receipt and packaging box indicate it's QLED. However over time it's clear that the display is UHD, not QLED. Even their website doesn't clearly tell; perhaps the QLED feature only applies to the 65" model? I feel misled.

Qled, quantum dot, Led tech

UHD ultra HD, resolution standard
U misunderstood both.....

Qled can be with UHD.

TV A pro= low tier product
Impossible QLED

Want good TV, and low price, buy USED or TCL

Xiaomi tv mostly TCL panel

QLED stands for Quantum Dot LED

UHD stands for Ultra High Definition

It is a QLED display with UHD, what's the confusion here?

How do you know the display is not QLED? Did you open the TV and look inside the panel?

QLED and UHD are both TV display technologies that offer high-quality visuals, but they have different features and are better suited for different use cases:

QLED
QLED stands for Quantum Dots, which is a layer of nanocrystal particles that sits between the LED backlight and the LCD screen. QLED TVs produce vivid colors and are ideal for bright rooms or home theaters. They are also good for watching dynamic content like sports and action movies. However, QLED images can appear darker and harder to see from an angle of about 50 degrees or more.

UHD
UHD stands for Ultra High Definition, and it's a resolution standard that typically has a pixel density of 4K or 8K. UHD TVs are good for showing fine details on large screens, and are ideal for applications that require clear detail like advertising or home viewing. UHD displays can use either edge-lit or full-array LED backlighting, with full-array offering better contrast and dimming capabilities.

What is the serial number? You should double check/confirm if you received same unit as the advertised model first.

Most TV that is QLED will have 4K/UHD support, it doesn't supersede like you think. Quantom Dot being a technology that works to enhance TV LEDs.

Its clear you didn't do much research about TV specs and now you are just jumping to conclusions without gathering facts. Though it can be quite confusing with every tv maker creating their own terms for higher range models.

But generally, are 3 main types of LED in the market, sort based on lowest to highest budget:

LED - Being the cheapest, it has many variations on LCD subpanels: VA, IPS) & supported resolution 720p, 1080p FHD, 4k UHD. My TCL 4k QLED TV sits here and has VA panel.

MINI-LED - All likely to support 4k/UHD. Samsung QN85D is Mini LED with Quantom Dots, calling it Neo QLED.

OLED - All likely to support 4k/UHD. Samsung also once again combine Quantom Dots technology with OLED, calling it QD-OLED

In the end I think you just need to play around with picture settings to calibrate to reach the same viewing experience you have with exact same video on another QLED TV that you are comparing.
