Hi everyone,

I’m planning to get a front-loading washing machine for my mum (and possibly a dryer in the future). She’s previously used Zanussi and Electrolux (both front-loading), but lately, I’ve noticed many people recommending LG front-loading machines. The problem is, I’m not sure which model to go for since the information on their official website seems incomplete.

Any recommendations or advice? My parents and I live together, so I think a 10kg capacity should work well for us. Thanks in advance!

Then get her Electrolux if she's used it before, the same one exactly if possible

The Electrolux model my mum was using is no longer available as it has been discontinued. That’s when I thought, why not try another brand? I noticed a lot of people recommending LG.

My washing machine mechanic says Electrolux or any European named front loading machine. Even if all machines are made in China. Says last longer. Currently using Electrolux.

I have used LG and Electrolux before.. both are good brand..

now I am using one from Midea. point to note is cheaper brand though the claim 7kg/10kg but the drum and the cover is much smaller. so you can't really get 7-10kg load.

just go have a look at the build for LG and Electrolux. the functions are all pretty much the same

LG F2721HTWV front load 21kg / 12kg washer & dryer. Been using it 3 times a week for 4 years.

can wash 1 king 2 queen bedsheets & 8 pillow covers in 1 go.

if it rains everyday, throw in cloths around 8pm and get it wash and dried the next day at 6am (but will have wrinkles...)

My LG front loader worked for 12years. So wise choice to go for LG.

Always go for the cheapest model of the capacity you have planned on. And now is year end, so there will be many items on sale. Try look for display unit of outgoing models. You will save a lot of money that way.

Don't chase after features as most probably you will not be using them most of the time.

Check your washing machine area whether your targeted machine can fit in or not. Also the drainage hole location, coz some washing machine has its drain pipe locked on the opposite side of drain hole. Remember to ask tech/installer to flip the pipe to the correct side.

I can’t say much about other brand since I have not used them, but Bosch FL served me well for the past 3 years.

I using 10.5kg front load LG.

I see there's a LG 10.5kg washer and dryer model FV1450S2W

People say don't connect to internet... Ada conspiracy something about the waster using gigabyte worth of data. Suspecting of spying or something.

My LG combo is already 14yrs old. Still running now.

Another good about LG is the spare parts is cheap and still available after 10yrs.
