Nothing to worry. Nobody want to gain from dirty money because it cannot be clean in your lifetime.

Hi Jack, I could not offer any advice because I dont think I have any wills or money for my family. Dont think I would have even at the age of 50s or 60s if I live that long.

Nothing to worry about. Life is impermanent and we never know what would happen in the next second.

The best is to prepare everything and to pass down any messages before it happened. Then I will be peacefully go home which is the Pure Land of Namo Amitabha without any worry.

After consideration, I still go for wills for proper management under law. Leave no worry to my family, clear cut on my plan.

there are many ways to do it and solely depends on the comfort level of the person on how he/she is going to implement.

Some even feels not safe if to write down everything on a book or paper.

Hypothetical.... what if you and a sibling both pass on while in the same car wreck? Everything gone forever?

The will is allowed by law to be written by the individual, but I always say the passing on of the information is the issue that has to be figured out
- write a will and keep in the house? What if the house burns down with you in it?
- keep specific information in the cloud? Legality of e-will and passwords to access
- keep will with lawyer/will writing agency? Family must know to contact the correct firm after death
- pass on multiple copies to few people? legality, and must keep track of multiple copies
- give someone/multiple people master password? password changes how?

Don't get me wrong, I also am thinking of how to solve this problem. That's why following this thread for ideas. Right now I have the single copy at home, but I think I am going tp be giving another copy to a trusted friend (who is not a beneficiary) and having a second copy around in case of my passing.

True. Passing down information is more important than will in my opinion.

That why I am trying to write down what messages I Wanna pass down and at the same time copy the info to do will.

Currently thinking to write on a book or use Microsoft 365 to write and share with the person that will assist me when I go home.

Google allows setup of death mans switch... if one year no access account can setup to email info or passwords to someone else email account if you want...

The physical assets within the country, I think it is not an issue. You can write a will.

The troublesome one based on your description will be the digital currency asset.

1) You do not want to reveal your current wealth - revealing them will invites unnecessary trouble, change of ppl perception towards you ( ppl with bad intention, no longer genuine relationship but more on interest and gain, etc).

2) You write the access & password down - you worry, the wrong ppl will hijack & access to it.

3) You didn't write anything down - you worry if you pass away suddenly, the wealth become no one asset, just floating in the digital space.

4) You write some secret codes - you worry the one inheriting the documents could be too dump to understand it, ended up it will lead to 3).

All these worries, why not just convert all the digital assets to the physical / conventional assets while you still can? This alone eliminates all the issues. Keep thing simple & executable by an ordinary ppl. By doing so, no one need to know how many physical assets you owns under your name as long as you never reveal it / flex it. It will remain hidden in the record only.

You don't have to write down any vulnerable access or password. You may only be worry if ppl tampered the "will". The mortal real's issue no longer the deceased problem, let them figure out themselves. It is not something to be worried by the deceased anymore. If already died but still need to worry about mortal realm's problem, this kind of life /after-life is so miserable. If you have done all the necessary & the asset still did not end up to the intended ppl hands, that is known as fate.

You're correct. But the timing of the Letter of Administration/Grant of Probate will then be affected, as the information will only come out after 1 year. Not to mention your estate may already be disbursed, and then suddenly after one year it is found out that you actually have a will. I think you are on the right track though... maybe make it 3 months time interval

you can set this if you dont want to disburse using the LA or grant of probate method...

like in cryptos, doesnt make sense to write your seed phrase and share them to the person who holds your WILL. nothing stopping them to restore the wallet and draining it and saying as an excuse that the wallet of the deceased has been hacked.

Apologize if you are meaning something else, but the LA or GP is not a "method"; the next-of-kin must have a LA/GP* before they can begin to do anything to your assets. It's basically the High Court saying "yup, he ded, can start sharing the loot"
The issue I see is that the court may issue LP/GP before my wishes come out from the dead-man's-switch in Google, and by that time my assets may already start to be shared.
