Air fresheners have been found to release over 100 different chemicals, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, and xylene; as well as semi-volatile organic compounds (such as phthalates). These emissions then react with indoor oxidants, such as ozone, hydroxyl radicals, and nitrate radicals to generate secondary pollutants such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde.

I have no perfect answer, but the fragrance you use are "more regulated" than car perfumes. So if you didn't like that Spurs perfume that much, use it as car perfume on demand.

Yes, spray on clothes. You will still breathe in those chemicals but at least didn't absorb through skin

Synthetic Musks – They are used in fragrances and personal care products. Synthetic Musks are highly bioaccumulative and are present in body fat, breast milk, and the blood cord of infants. They can disturb the hormone, reproductive, and some organ systems.

Perfumes have been used for thousands of years to make us smell nice and feel good. But not all perfumes are safe. Some contain harmful and even poisonous materials that can cause serious health problems. One of these materials is synthetic white musk, which can be dangerous, especially for people with cancer.26 Jul 2024
