First off, try and understand what causes high BP (hint: it's not salt)

2ndly, when you take a BP reading, it's a snapshot of your BP at that very moment. it's not a very good representation of your overall BP. Maybe you were looking at the hot nurse who helped take your BP and that raised the BP. What you should be concerned about is chronic high BP. If you're concerned, take multiple readings at different times of the day doing the same thing (i.e. sitting down).

There are many poorly informed doctors in malaysia, and most of them just want to sell you a treatment and get you out of their door. It's best you have as much information as possible before seeking a doctor out.
