Endless wars, occupations and interference by foreign forces, sanctions, looting of their (oil & gas) national resources …………. They really haven’t had much of a chance and hopefully the Syrian people can get that now. With a peaceful transition which apparently we’re seeing, and soon, a responsible and reasonable government they might have a chance.
Peace dividend can be a great multiplier that covers gross incompetence in many countries.

They just migrate and never be back again.

Just be happy to celebrate Syria is partially free from a despotic ruler.

Time to kick the invaders out of Golan Heights and the thieves supporting the communists in the east!

Turkey has a big hand in this. The only country who knew what's going on and perhaps to a lesser extent, Qatar. They managed to pause action by the liberation fighters for a few weeks whilst Erdogan talked to Assad. Only yesterday, the FMs of Turkey, Russia and Iran met and agreed to end the fighting in Syria, hence the swift fall of Assad.

Julani offerred olive branches to both Russia and Iran. Even Moqtada al-Sadr announced that Iraqi shi'a fighters should not get involved. See how quiet even the Houthis are as the regime was extremely brutal to its own population. Assad's army practically surrendered and his (ex-)PM has been in contact with HTS for a week. There are even talks that he will head the transitional govt (but we shall see). HTS fighters carry the same flag as Taliban these days so we'll see what will be their involvement and type of government envisioned in Syria.

Turkey provided the drones that wiped out the regime weapons before the fighters advanced. So they will want to exert some of the influence/trust gained especially regarding the communists and their master thieves out east.

Yes. I see China and even Pakistan coming in to help rebuild and arm Syria.

Syrians struggle for the longest. Good that their uprising is now ended with victory. Hopefully the next gov will be better.
