QUOTE(Baconateer @ Dec 6 2024, 08:50 AM) What i mean is companies are required to allow employees to WFH if they request it But most companies will ignore the request since thy are not legally required to allow it Easy....outsiders all follow fixed hours, family members ( emplouees) wfh.

QUOTE(haya @ Dec 6 2024, 08:53 AM) Sure, but same with things like annual leave and sick leave The Employment Act says that employees have the right to annual/sick/maternity/paternity leave. See what happens to a employer that doesn't give leave when a employee requests for it Well..we definitely dont hv the rights to WFH yet..

QUOTE(Baconateer @ Dec 6 2024, 08:58 AM) Well..we definitely dont hv the rights to WFH yet.. One step at a time Now have the right to request for WFH Sure, can reject, as per Sections 60P and 60Q of the Employment Act 1955. But need to provide reasonings in line with the guidelines under s60Q of the Employment Act 1955, not just a "no". If the employer doesn't provide the rejection reasonings under the guidelines under s60Q of the Employment Act 1955, can report employer to JTK. No different to employers who reject leave requests unreasonably.
