short circuit usually kena board and power supply.. if both gone, 500 cheap..
if only powersupply, expensive..
eventhough out of warranty, you can still go acer but pay for it lo.. i think under warranty if short circuit also not covered by warranty..
to prevent, use a power surge protector next time
