So my wife stopped driving 10 years ago and just started to drive back. Still not fluent. Which car for city use? Only work and school. Nothing big since I already have a 7 seater SUV. I was thinking of proton iriz.

Those small EV like Ora or Dongfeng Box if you have the budget for it and a home charger to go with it.
EV actually made lots of sense for women whom don’t usually take care of car’s servicing. Only thing needed to take care is tyres’ wear and alignment.

Been your situation years ago. Also bought 3 years old Iriz 1.6 Premium back then. Cz paid about 1/3 vs brand new and the car had low mileage, proven at SC. Use for daily go work KL.

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Nov 24 2024, 09:59 PM) Shouldnt Myvi, be part of your consideration as well? Yes...until the used car prices makes no sense for 2-3 year old Myvi. High RV = good for sellers, bad for buyers. Especially if I keep this for about 10 years or so. Even then, the mileage will not be high since town car max distance daily is 30KM (from morning to night). QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Nov 25 2024, 12:17 AM) Been your situation years ago. I owned 1st gen Savvy before-I think same platform.

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Nov 24 2024, 10:09 AM) Safe-RV don't care. Will keep car for long time. If plan to keep long time Axia is still the safe bet, Iriz campro engine and parts going to obsolute and replace by Geely new model. Axia parts still can get Japanese Daihatsu/Toyota half-cut for similar engine/gearbox major parts.

For CVT, I went to shop that can do CVT adaptation using device one. This post has been edited by ayamxxx: Nov 25 2024, 09:17 AM
