However, it is claimable if the insured is admitted thereafter the diagnosis and outpatient treatment.
The number of days covered under pre-hospitalization claims varies by policy and insurer, but is usually between 30 and 60 days.
Claim eligibility is also subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.
