My advice? Just take this 40k as a tuition fee.

Could be worst, like for example if you borrow Ah Long and they come after you or even worst, your family.

Your mindset thinking that you can cover back those 40k losses, is dangerous. You never know how deep you can dig.

I assume you still have a job, some savings left. Be grateful. It could be worse. Really.

Just let the 40k go.

Delete all those gambling apps, website, and vow never to lay your hands on betting again.

You are right. Until now im still thinking i can win back the 40k and how sweet it would have been to taste the one time 40k winning.

Yes, i have a job, yes i do have savings. I can still bet, but how is it possible to just let the 40k go!! It's too much to handle. Not 4k, its 40k

I cant sleep tonight and i still have to work tomorrow!

Let me tell you my personal story.

I bought into SKPetrol many years back.

That time oil price was fluctuating and I was betting that it will go up.

It went bust. SKPetrol now is no more.

I lost also around 40k that time when I cut loss and sold my shares.

I totally understand how you feel.

But I told myself, it's not the end. I am still alive.

I take this 40k as an expensive lesson.

From the on, I stopped playing shares, focusing on saving monthly the traditional way, cutting down my expenses.

Fast forward to today, I am still here, I am doing quite okay. I still have a job. I have savings. I have a home. A paid off car. A loving wife.

I still think back to the 40k and fantasise "Wah, if I could have this 40k, I can pay for a downpayment for a car, I could have, I could have...."

But no, I choose to see what is good about my life NOW.

It could be worse.

It's not too late. Stop gambling. Time will help you to overcome the heaviness in your heart but you have to persevere.

If i got the advice, i would rather give myself one more chance to bet to recover the loss so that i can stop thinking
