From what you're saying, it could just be your ISP that's causing the problem. As of now, they won't believe whatever you're saying because they're not proficient with Macs.
What you can do is simply get a PC and try whatever you're doing and see whether the same problem is happening.
What are you doing when it disconnects? Identify any pattern that can help to narrow down problem down.
