I have come to notice that the favors that I am asked to do are of this nature - the person requesting the favor doesn't want to inconvenience someone close to him/her who's responsibility is to do that said favor, thus delegating the execution of said favor to someone less close, usually me, at the expense of my own inconvenience.

Basically, they will ask a person they love less to do something, so that the person they love more is not disturbed.

as others have said, learn to say no.

i once saw a close colleague of mine running errands for a girl he liked, even driving her to meet another guy she claimed was just a "friend" because she didn’t have a car. it was such a miserable mess...

know when to say NO.

if it inconvenience others doesn't mean it's fine to inconvenience yourself.
