The best is to buy directly at honey farm and the best of the best is to see them directly taken out the honey from the hive. But this is unfiltered honey. Please do not give to children < 2 years old. In Malaysia usually in kampung2, this will be madu kelulut or stingless bee honey. Not the best for toast. haha.

But for normal consumers like us, next best bet is manuka honey directly imported from new zealand. Since New Zealand has strict regulations and most of their exported honey are tested (in MGO and UMF value). This is where i got my honey. Since i'm using it on toast, i bought the lowest MGO one. quite affordable.

Please avoid cheap supermarket one. most if not all are fake or adulterated since our (china & usa too) regulation on labeling honey are quite lax.

nothing to do with price. the key is how they process / harvest.
also i hear from same person the bee hive in southern thailand is in moveable vehicle. farmer will call them for arranging bee for pollination.

No, not the australian, the New zealand one. Look for UMF/MGO certified and packed in New Zealand.

Btw, this is what i bought. Bought the cheapest one since not consuming it for the benefit.. just on a good toast.

even when buying directly at honey farm, some of them actually feed their bees with sugar syrup from behind, so directly take out honey from the hive pun, same fake sh*t

I'll never risk buying honey as supplements.
90% of those sold in the market are either fake or bees fed with sugar.

People buy from kampung people or even orang asli which they claim to be original. I can tell you that many are not 100% pure. laugh.gif

I would say that the known sold in supermarket is even more pure. Any known local or imported brand are just fine. The slight difference in taste is due to different flower the bee get the honey from.

Kelulut aka stingless bee honey not bad. It taste like grape. A little bit sour and watery.

I brought a bee house (tree truck). Extracting honey can be troublesome. But at least I know it's 100% real.

The bee don't sting, but will kacau you like flies when go harvesting
