I hope Sarawak can sell it cheap or free for that matter, since they are producing abundance of it for export. Using clean excess hydro energy so even if local waste it, won’t damage the environment

Hydrogen think only issue really is storage and not sure about cost of hydrogen refuelling itself but prefer hydrogen then EV.

Anneh not expert but hear pipur more expert discuss the extensive cost of storage and transport and trying to store it in liquid form the cost is $$$$$$ due to complicated process or expensive equipment.

Did you read this part of your link? Which I already knew....

Although hydrogen is the most common element in the universe it’s never found in its pure state, since is generally combined with other elements. As a consequence, creating pure hydrogen for vehicles requires a great deal of energy process to break the compound, which is derived from fossil fuels like natural gas.

Good luck to BMW + Toyota...

Here's another real life challenges/issues using "hydrogen" scenario in San Francisco
https://insideevs.com/news/708375/toyota-mi...stations-close/

While this points the poor refueling stations, at least EV cars can be charge from anywhere that has a household electric socket , with the vehicle adapters, likewise...fossil fuel cars. You can't even produce liquid hydrogen at home or buy a special hydrogen tank-fill it up and refuel them at convenience....

By the time, hydrogen reaches it's practical state vs fossil fuel, ...EV technology would have excelled much further.

IMO, in no time....it's obvious which is phasing out which.

Note: I am not anti-HFCV.

we plug socket to get electricity to power EV, we won't get 100% or even 90% efficiency from battery storage...
power from plug comes from?... fossil fuel burning. 1 stage

we use liquid hydrogen to power HFCV, we won't get 100% efficiency either, we will even get incomplete combustion, that produces nitrous oxide. 1 car maybe nothing...if 1,000 cars...bad to environment.
power from liquid hydrogen ?...fossil fuel- > electricity to process to liquid -> ...2 stage.
Also require far more electricity to process it and liquidify them, and maintain it in liquid form.

so...where is the plus?..greener?...

Toyota Mirai, and Mirai stands for dream....and should remain just a "dream". LOL.

Can Sarawak succeed where US failed?

Would people buy premium priced hydrogen car over cheaper ICE/Hybrid/EV car?

too much flaw in hydrogen and to further development will car makers gamble billions for it? will the billions even solve issues with hydrogen

this green dream started more than decade ago and can see how bad it is in terms of just everything

err...although there are abundance of oil in Sarawak, offshore and inshore....the hydrogen will be produced using excess energy from their hydroelectric (thus green hydrogen). They have abundance of it until they can expert to Kalimantan and Singapore...

Hydrogen manufacturer in Sarawak already cut the car st of manufacturer by half. But still not cheap. When it's camparable to petrol you will see things happen n that's when EV will become HD DVD.

Suddenly I felt EV chargers should not be housed under same facility...need to be far far away

There's risk to ignite the petrol or hydrogen

It take up more time to charge...jam up the place only...

The whole world is shortage of electricity hence expensive tariff. Who else can produce green H2 cheaply? Sarawak should directly export the excess power to sinkie so that sinkie no need to plan to import electricity from Oz which is half a globe away

It is being sold to Singkie. Singkie won’t just source from single supplier so they are buying electricity from Laos, Australia, etc
