QUOTE(littlefire @ Oct 25 2024, 04:37 PM) Nissan also bad if you always went for track, personally knew 1 R35 owner like everytime go track or race when come back sure need to open gearbox to fix something. Unless you drive conservatively and dont modify, still he told me some R35 owners drive normal also feedback around 30000~40000km also start to got problem. well, this sort of car really depends if you wanna baby it or you wanna drive it the way it's supposed to be driven if you drive it the way it's supposed to be driven, you'll have to bear the cost of it but i think the people who bought this car and drive it the way it's supposed to be driven doesn't regret it because it's really fun

Most of these owners already knew the consequences, just live with it.

QUOTE(littlefire @ Oct 25 2024, 03:13 PM) Different gearbox tech got their pro & con Thus why you see majority of normal Japanese cars still stick with conventional 4AT/6AT or CVT gearbox as it is more suitable for normal traffic, low speed driving. For Japanese side, only those performance ride like Nissan R35, Mitsubishi EVO X used SST/DSG gearbox. CVT also not sedap, for example HRV when at low rpm (below 2000), gear 1/2, weak and shudder most of the time , more obvious when crossing road hump

If it is Turbo that is turbo lag, as usually turbo engine need certain RPM to hit the sweet torque level. Same as Mazda Skyactive engine, due to their engine high compression & direct injection technology. Below 2000rpm the torque also not good and also can feel some knocking/jerking even for 6AT gearbox when driving very slow crawling situation. But still it is far more comfortable than compare to like DSG gearbox. This post has been edited by littlefire: Oct 25 2024, 05:51 PM

Not turbo, HRV 2017, just replaced the EPB and transmission range sensor (one of the common problems in HRV), feel the transmission is rather week and tremble at low rpm, but after gear 3 (over 2000 rpm), it's smooth sailing
