I'm kinda surprised that you put the connect box in the cabinet but since you only ran them for an hour, probably ok to do so. I leave my parents QN65B connect box outside since I feel it ran pretty hot and my parents tv is always 24/7. My mom also can attach her karaoke system hdmi easily.

For 85", which to pick? Similarly priced between Samsung QN85D or Sony X90L. Or did I miss out other good model.

You won't get an OLED or QD-OLED for RM10k+ at 83" screen size, that's impossible even if you go for second hand market.

Samsung Q70d
- Edge-lit LED LCD TV with no local dimming so don't expect inky blacks, despite using the "quantum dot" moniker its color gamut and volume is actually pretty low.
- Peak brightness capability is only ~500 nits, this is only half the minimum HDR10 standard of 1000 nits! HDR is basically useless on this TV in any room, dark or bright.
- Its upscaler is also pretty poor for 2024's standards.
- Very low input lag, great for gaming.
- Tizen OS actually is surprisingly pretty good these days.

Sony X90L
- Mini-LED lit LCD TV with local dimming, so it does achieve some pretty impressive (for a direct lit LED LCD anyway) contrast ratios. But blooming can be visible in a very dark room since there aren't a lot of LED zones.
- Peak brightness can hit 1100 nits, hitting the required standard of 1000 nits from HDR10. This TV is not a light cannon, but is bright enough for most people's rooms with some curtains.
- Good color volume coverage and gamut achieves >90% for DCI P3.
- Still the industry's best upscaler for low resolution content.
- So-so input lag figures for 2024 standards, but still good for gaming.
- Android (GoogleTV now) is becoming more and more trash with each update.

Between these 2, I'd suggest the Sony as it's a more well rounded TV than the Samsung.

You want 85" at 10k+/-, there's not else better than the X90L at this price point.

I suggest attend a demo yourself for Sony and Samsung. Some differences between x90l and 85d:
- Sony dimming has superior shadow details but at the expense of blooming though this generation of Sony's blooming control is better than previous generation
- Samsung has less blooming but at the expense of shadow details
- Sony has better upscaling of lower quality video and motion compared to Samsung
- Samsung will appear higher contrast with better blacks
- Sony has more natural color while Samsung is more saturated and colorful
- Sony and Samsung has narrow viewing angle..so sitting far away from center position , color and image will appear washout

Some of above differences will be more prominent in a dark room but if you watch with lights on in a living room, actual perceived differences may be minimal.
Also as both manufacturers have different approaches in designing their TV, some of differences like color, blooming control, shadow details is up to your personal preferences.

I visited Harvey Norman and been poisoned for 83 LG OLED C4 for RM24k. 77 at RM20k. 7 inch different not sure if it is noticable for 4k in price.

On top of that, they racun with JBL BAR 1300 which so impressive for me for RM6999. To pull the trigger or not to pull. 😰

LC C4 is quote good. It can satisfy most of the consumers. Its only limitation compared to mini LED TVs is lack of brightness and its white is not really pure intense white especially in HDR.
It has a very glossy finish screen. Some prefer matte finish.
The advantage of OLED contrast and black level only shines in a dark room or dim room with little light source.
If you watch in a bright living room, you won't fully utilize its potential. Can save some money go for mini LED TVs with bigger size. That is my opinion, as I own QLED, OLED and miniLED QLED TVs.

Try looking at Samsung Neo QLED series (eg: QN85C, QN85D, QN90D etc). They use miniLED dimming so the contrast should be better than X90L

If yr budget is similar to LG at 20k, the best 85 inch TV at that price is Sony Bravia 9. It has similar black and contrast as OLED.

It has one of the advanced mini LED with 2000 plus dimming zones and go up to 3000 nits

had to put mine "on wheels" before wife agreed

also another reason I keep the OneConnect and console in the cabinet since the whole thing (apart from the rear 2 Era100s) is supposed to be moved out "if needed" . I poked a few holes at the back and bottom of the cabinet so there is some airflow.

Also I'm aware the Sonos Arc Ultra protrudes slightly pass the TV but since I haven't found any media that uses 100% of the screen apart from still pictures (or Samsung likes to call it "Art") still living with it rather than search for new tv legs. But one thing I would change is getting the soundbar in black.

Apple Vision Pro beat all option above.

in terms of Image Quality, Immersion, Function.
But over budget.

Screensize? up to 200 inch. if you want. In AR Mode.

and too bad Apple gonna cancel this project in future.

Problem with Apple Vision is only for 1 person...If you need to watch with your families and friends which is quite common at home..you need a few pairs of Apple Vision which ends up costing a bomb
