Unless you’re a Unifi TV Pack subscriber; you’ll get discounted monthly price at only RM24.90 for Standard, or RM34.90 for Ultimate.

You can subscribe to Max via Unifi billing though. Much cheaper, you’ll save around RM10-18 per month.

Just go to MyUnifi app to get started.

For Netflix as long as the people are under one roof, you don't have to pay extra. If they are from two different houses - with two different IP addresses - then you need to pay.

So if you share your network and Netflix with your neighbor, no need to pay extra.

Are you talking about Unifi TV packages?

If you take the Ultimate Max plan, the Netflix plan they give you is Standard, which is HD and two screens. If you take the Ultimate Plus plan, the Netflix plan they give you is Basic, which is HD and one screen. Neither of these plans will give you 4K Netflix, Disney and Max, unless you top up the extra money.

Not really. There is a workaround for a second home, provided you travel to the second home at least once per month.

Not talking about that. Talking about people who password shares or parents with kids (or vise versa) who shares an account. If they live in two household consistently, you need to pay else you'd be hassled by the app for the code.

I think that Mobile Max plan will partner with CelcomDigi.
Because they are the only telco that bundle streaming services like Disney+ Hotstar.

You’ll get Standard Plan as a replacement after Nov 19, since the current HBO GO price per month stays the same, RM34.90.

Yes.

Hence, no more 3-months plan after this from HBO itself. Just monthly & yearly plans are available. Mobile-only plan will follow suit soon.

Correct.

Open the HBO GO app as usual, you’ll be greeted by a pop-up message prompting you to download the new Max app.

Once it’s installed, just login using the same HBO GO credentials. Your HBO GO subscription will become Max Standard Plan by default.

Max TV apps still has the same annoying 100% opacity black background subtitles, changed the settings in the web browser also doesn't reflects on the apps.

but good thing is it has more subtitle choices compared to last time.

So anybody subscribed to Ultimate?

1) Are movies presented in their correct aspect ratio? 1.85 and 2.39 vs 1.78?
2) Are Warner movies mostly available in 4K and 5.1 at least?
3) Are recent HBO originals (like TLOU) in 4K and 5.1?
4) Is CNN included?

Thanks for the quick reply. I expect there would be content differences between US and world version. I guess there'd be no censorship on content?

By the way, CNN is included in Max USA as a Beta program.

Is it the same content? Im looking for animated stuff like Harley quinn series, adult swim, some previously censored Steven universe episodes, comedy network stuff which was not previously on HBO go…

Is there a list of shows updated for our region?

Sorry for asking so many questions but the app doesn’t offer a content preview..

Same here on my Hisense Google TV. Quite shocked to see how backwards their subtitling are now in terms of presentation.

I can confirm that MKL: Cage Match is missing, MKL: Snowblind is there though. Also surprised to see MK'95 and MK'2021 back in the list.
Some older 90s made for TV movies are missing. Warrior is missing.

Content licensing leads to shuffling.

Warrior is currently on Netflix in 4K.

Prior to this year, HBO/Warner's content could only be found on Max. Now they are actively licensing them out. So since Netflix wants Warrior and perhaps exclusively, Max can't have it. I think it's the same situation with Friends. For years it was on Netflix. Then when Max launched, Warner pulled it from Netflix US but internationally available on Netflix. Now they pulled it back to Max and probably to hype out the 4K remastering of Friends.

So content comes and go. But so far, Netflix content has yet to go elsewhere.

Justice League animated series is uncensored(HBOGO version cuts out head decapitation on robots).

More like they removed some of them due to not wanting to pay the actor/staff involved or something which was the case for Westworld. Harley Quinn and Tomorrowverse not sure why because both of them are DC which they own. And Young Justice only has Season 2 for some reason despite the cover showing Season 4. Netflix only got it up to season 3.

Glad Regular Show and Rick & Morty are complete at least.

Just noticed in Rick and Morty episode 2,there's a airplane scene max cut the part where Rick say something about 9/11

Did anyone try the limited 3-month free promo? I asked via X (formerly Twitter), and Unifi responded that this promo was for people who signed up for HBO Go before the November 19 launch. Is that true?
