Newly won 1TB Kingston Fury SSD installation Q?

If it's me i would just leave your windows at ur current 256gb nvme, just transfer any files/doc/pictures/games from your current nvme into the new drive. U won't notice any difference from having your windows in a pcie3.0 or the newer pcie4.0 drive.  My current gaming pc also still uses a pcie3.0 nvme as boot drive and windows drive.  |

Boot into windows then right click my computer and select manage. Then select disk management and see if your computer detect the new nvme, if yes select the drive and create new partition and format it. after it all done you can transfer all your data then.
