If only the network coverage also gets improved at the same time. I use both digi and hotlink in Penang island and hotlink/maxis 4g coverage is significantly worse.

In Klang both Maxis and Digi excels well. But when I moved to indoor area like some restaurants and house where Maxis 4G struggles even load to TnG to pay.
Digi after integration improves significantly in indoor maybe seems Digi using 2100mhz mostly.
Maxis stuck with 2600mhz and 1800mhz

I raise complain to MAxshit CS about poor internet coverage, they check and replied me all good. No abnormalities. so our problem is not their problem.

Does unlimited applicable for maxis 48 share if the principle line is unlimited.

Yes. I have been using Hotlink for long time. Then switched to yoodo, network performance so much better. At workplace, Maxis is slow sometimes unusable.

Now i use Celcom. I still like Hotlink for its plans.. apps.. reload discounts.. customer service. But I still stick to Celcom. No point if network performance terrible.

Yes I'm a Maxis Unlink Postpaid user I can set my share line as unlimited

They won't admit that their site is fault..
I raised MCMC with 4 times no improvement
But MCMC official confirm that they will monitoring this issue🤷

Cause today my principle line 199 plan upgraded to unlimited but shareline seems not unlimited.

This unlimited data is for limited time promo, or forever unlimited?

As per FAQ it's limited until 16th Jan 2025 after that it would be old data quato

FUP should be 500GB for unlimited plan. It shared on your principal and supplementary lines.

I want to MNP out but besides celcomdigi, I don't see a viable alternative to maxis/hotlink. My hotlink plan is cheap too, RM18/mth for 60GB and unlimited local calls.

I raised a ticket and was eventually told by CS that Maxis has no plans to improve or expand 4G coverage for the area that I reported.

so, the only difference between the plans is the number of share lines?

Normal lo or else how to market their "unlimited" plans. I'm still considering whether want to switch from CD80 to their Maxis RM79 or Hotlink RM70. Seems like a better value for money. But for my usual locations, I always get good coverage with CD. Even indoor 4G still can get full bars unlike Maxis.

Authority should regulate this misleading word "unlimited" in telco ads.

i have been relying solely on maxis 4g because 5g has become too inconsistent in my area. cant even make voip call let alone watch youtube or listen to spotify

Business Postpaid 109 got upgraded?

Maxis FUP T&C still state they have a right to throttle your streaming speed once your principal and share line(s) exceed 300GB in a calendar month. It means they may or not may throttle your speed.

My parents have been using Maxis Postpaid 98 Unlimited since the MaxisONE days and their mobile data was never throttled. So i guess it only happens if they find excessive use of mobile data for your account.

Maxis FUP I think 300or 500GB not sure. But I never faced any throttle response until now

Im surprised nobody notice here that Maxis no longer operate on Band 7 LTE frequency. Maybe try to cut cost for incoming 5G or NGBB expansion. Idk what actually happen. When i try to manually lock to Maxis Band 7. It will just show Emergency Calls Only to Celcom/Digi network or No Service. It not big deals as Band 7 sucks at upload speed anyway. Just worth to point out Maxis not operate 4G LTE on Band 7 anymore. So, good bye 4G+ speedtest above 200Mbps..

No wonder my Maxis speedtest is so bad recently.
Whereas my Digi by CelcomDigi network keep getting almost or more than 200 Mbps+ consistently in 4G+ area.
It performs amazingly well on fully integrated tower.

With recent quota upgrade, I noticed difference among the plans are no. of supp line entitlement. So effectively we are paying RM78++ for each supp line. Is it worth?

Band 7 still active in Cyberjaya.

I don't think Maxis will shutdown its B7 nationwide. Certain towers may turn off B7 and some even B1 to conserve energy during off peak hour. Prolly Maxis think no point for having over 200Mbps on 4G (low utilization) that's why it proceeds to shut it down on that particular tower/sector

What I can try doing is lock B7 and check if it remains connected during my commute (Cyber to Shah Alam) back.

Looks like they might be preventing devices from using B7 as the primary band. Noticed this in the Puchong-USJ area.

With just band 7 enabled, and all others used by Maxis disabled. My phone drops to 2G. But let's say I enable just band 1. My phone would use b1 as the primary band and band 7 for carrier aggregation.

True for Kinrara and PJ area as well. This will allow more China imported phones to have 4G+ signal by default

The number of sup line entitlement has been there long before the upgrade. higher plan get more sup line, lower plan like postpaid 79 cannot get sup line.

Have to dig in their T&C to find out if 3 lines each got 1tb or otherwise. If you rajin try to use up to 1tb and see if they throttle you until end of bill cycle.

Shah Alam as well. Locked on B7 (disabled B1/3/8 and B28 to prevent the phone from going on 5G) and it's back to EDGE.

Do China-imported phones don't support B7 or something?

1000gb for cap for each lines. If 199 paying 4 subline all under 1TB data means no point being charges high.

certain China-imported phones support B7 but no CA with other band, stuck with B7. B1-B3 is a common combo in China so CA should works better

Then only way to be sure is to try it out and hit the FUP limit.

my suggestion is never give up. escalate your case to MCMC. previously, i have 1 bar signal before and after move in to my new house. complaints few times to Maxis and MCMC. They gave me 3g booster since i have unifi indoor as interim solution. subsequently, they want to build a new tower at playground but residents doesn't agree. eventually, they build a new 4g tower at Indah Water Consortium which is 100 meters away from my house with doesn't need residents to consent.

where got so many 5G place can use...

This is one challenge faced by telcos. While already know signal is not good and telco want to build new tower, there are objection by some residents.

How many time you raise complain in MCMC I did thrice no improvement at all. Keep saying no plans to expand coverage in their time frame😐. Where as same location after CelcomDigi merger 4G+ most of time gets 150mbps above

It’s ok, bro. Already reported twice and no action. The area in question is very lightly populated so maybe no ROI for maxis to expand their coverage there. Digi on my other phone has good coverage there, though.

Only sticking with Hotlink for the cheap plan.

i forgot how many times but numerous times. they are committed. after 2-3 years and hurdles it was done.
