Hello,
I come across the Fibre to the Room (FTTR) Promo and I am thinking to ask for the installer to pull the "transparent fiber" to my 2nd floor study room.
1) Anyone know any reliable installer? 2) When the fiber terminated on my study room, what kind of device I needed? I have a SFP switch next to my Unifi Modem if it help.

QUOTE(ChenKaiWen @ Oct 3 2024, 03:33 PM) If you’re talking about FTTR like Celcom and TIME, those are using huawei specific main router and nodes. I don’t know any FTTR installer but you can buy transparent fibre yourself and hot glue to the wall yourself. Then have a Fibre converter for RJ45, or have another switch with sfp. Yes, I saw Celcom FTTR Promo and think to lay the fiber to my study room. Where can I look for the transparent fibre? If the installer have it, I can ask them to supply and install, it will easier for me.

QUOTE(ChenKaiWen @ Oct 3 2024, 06:40 PM) I’ve seen it available on Taobao. Problem with Celcom and TIME FTTR solution is the inability to use your own equipment, so for me I don’t think it’s worth it. possible to send me the link, so i can do research on it
