I get what you mean. You like basic and simple girls.

I'm from another world. Whenever I attend events, I must look good. It usually takes 3-5 days for me to prepare my skin, try on clothes, style from hair-to-toe, and look great on the event day.

My male companions are usually tall (>180 cm+), good-looking and successful, and I complement them by dressing up beautifully to make them proud. We look good taking photos together, and get awarded as "Best Dressed".

Yeah, it's a social status thingy, for the fame and limelight. Quite fun actually. I get to dress up and enjoy being beautiful with all the compliments. Vanity fair. Lol

I get where you're coming from, but this forum is not the right place to ask la. Like going to your girlfriends and asking them which PC component to buy cause you want to overclock.

For tattoos, got a simple rule la. If you have to ask; don't. You need to know why you're getting the tattoo, which then translates to the confidence in pulling it off.

As for all your fashion questions, unless you're indirectly fishing for someone here, there's no general preference that will match most men. Everyone has a different preference, the best you could do is different sub-culture's general preferences. As shown in the replies here, most men here prefer simpler looks. I myself fall into the category, but I can appreciate and do really appreciate when my partner dresses for the occassion.

My advice would be, just experiment with looks/styles you're not used to. Since you've been out of a long term relationship. Now's a good time to explore, then see what results you get and how it makes you feel. You'll find your new unique style that will ensnare an equally unique man. Go generic and all you will get are generic people tongue.gif

haha I like your reply.

I'm not fishing for anyone la, just asking out of curiosity to get a general feeling of what men like... which turned out to be really surprising for me. I didn't know men liked simple looks. (usually fashion designers are males lehhh?  hmm.gif )

You see, I was brought up to wear dress, look feminine, wear heels, do skincare, put some makeup, wear some perfume, curl my hair, polish nails, etc... by my mom. She had hundreds of outfits, gowns, dresses... in her two big wardrobes. I was raised to be ladylike, and even girls thought I was soft and feminine and made them feel like tomboys/'chor lor'. To me, it is a norm to dress up and look good whenever I attend events. I also look good at home, with the good girl/ wifey look.

& I don't wear jeans at all. The T-shirts that I have are all given by other people or from events. I usually wear blouses, trousers, pants, dresses, two-piece suits, gowns, and have dozens of heels and sandals-- I don't wear plain slippers. (as advised by image consultants)

Hence, I'm sooooooooo surprised to see that guys are okay with girls wearing just plain shirt and jeans. Like, what? So easy to please? Really?? (It's good news to me, actually  laugh.gif )

No wonder la, in my twenties, when I dressed up nicely for lunch/dinner dates with some make-up and jewellery, those guys looked at me like lust.gif . If I had known, I would have worn simple outfits to reduce extra attention. haha

Do you know there's a saying that women make up and dress to impress other women? It's not to impress men. LOL.
+ we loveeee to take selfies and post on FB/IG.  biggrin.gif
Male fashion designers are mostly gaylo la laugh.gif

Typical men are simple, see what clothes most of us wear and it will mostly be comfortable simple practical stuff. Even being uber rich doesn't really change it, e.g. steve jobs and his turtle neck look.

My wife is also very feminine, she hardly even wears pants. However nowadays when she goes out she would wear slippers/sneakers with her outfit, which is sometimes weird. I don't mind it and it makes her feet happy.
