They say only certain batch kena. Every brand also got risk lemon unit
*
Regardless of certain batch or all kena, the damage has been done already. Reputation of 'axle issue on omoda' is imprinted in the rakyat head already, so for sure this gonna press the price down.

But used car only offer 65k-72k. Used only 10 months already depreciate 50k. WTFF!!!
Why ah resale value so fucking bad? At first he thought can get 95k minimum.
*
Better sell while he can. Otherwise, lose another 50k in next 6 mths or before axle break or car burnt down (maybe house too) due to battery fire.
In ccp land, average 8 evs burnt down daily. Now maybe more. Their cars are junk.

nah it is current asset my dear friend, in accounting policy, car , machine , phone , laptop , gadget , technology will drop value over time because new one will eventually take over the old one in 5-10-50 years time

only IP, land and property or anything belong to non current asset remain dominate and value over time

For 65k I would take risk with the ccp car used, thing is Chery's initial response to axle patch issue unforgiveable.

China cars are made for use and dump like smartphones. China cars do not hold resale value like Japanese cars.

Finally someone who understands the dynamics of Chinese made cars. nod.gif

No matter how I explains to customers and people around me, many still wouldn't get it.

Its not just affecting Chinese made cars, but EVs as well. TBH many dealers are even reluctant to take in EVs now as we speak.

Wondering what car darkterror15 drive
*
a 10 yo beat up nissan which dont even have a bluetooth connection, paint drop, color faded, rattle all the way, and a flappy bumper which i really not interested to look at the resale value. probably will just keep it until scrap like all my stuff because i never resale any of my stuff.

now my problem is i dont have budget to buy new car. if give me any free brand of ccp car that available in msia i will take it.

the plastic neta v pun jadi la, so long as u give me free

ICE is going obsolete. He will regret buying too

ICE cars will outsell EVs at least until 2050.
Don't be surprised EVs get obsolete first because they "pollute" more from battery fite and the insane amount of water needed to put out the fire.

any brand also cannot hold their resale value in china.

year 2021, lexus es200 that only available in china need to add 20-50k RMB to get the car brand new, total maybe 360k RMB, u want nego the 4s ppl also no diao you because they will say u add money now the car can keep its value

now lexus es200 giving promo 90k RMB, new car around 220k RMB if loan and 240-250k RMB if cash buy.

if u are 2021 owner paying 360K for that lexus, now u lost the most 140K RMB.

replace ICE surely not but at least 25 to 30% car sales worldwide will be ev

chainah pushes the price down, market that they sell in others no choice have to cut prices too..win for consumers

anyway looks like another cerita sejuk..nobody buy a car according to their mom..oh well as long ppl happy with some wonderland story lol
*
Agree. Chinese EV prices are artificially suppressed via gov subsidies/tax incentives. But credit where it is, their top few EV companies are really blazing the technology front.
As for buying on mom’s advice, cannot comment. Just have to take it at face value as revealed by TS.

Not for long as the EV are taking over soon with Proton & Perodua EV coming next year.  The trend now is more to EV and gaining momentum once Proton and Perodua comes out with their EV.  It will not be immediate but as EV starts to mature and prices becomes cheaper, many will start to buy EV and leaves ICE.  I expect by another 4-5 years, UCE cars will have low resale values.  But I am still an ICE car lover for now for the convenience and accessibility.

Fix the charging time before we talk about ev taking over ice. Kam sia
