I'm thinking but not sure if contract phones are worth it. Current using Digi RM25 and paying phone bill myself.
Maybe someone can chime in with good postpaid contracts. Anyway I calculate for a 16PM 256GB RM5999 & one line of Digi Prepaid Kuning RM25, if bought using EPP: For 24mths EPP: RM249.96/month + RM25.00/month = RM274.96/month (Telco contracts usually 2yrs right?) Maybe need to add Unifi 1Gbps (STD20+UnifiTV Ultimate) RM159/mth to calculation as some telcos now include fibre. • of course, prepaid no additional 6%. • Postpaid usually unlimited data? Mine is only 30GB though currently it's 50GB due to monthly freebies. • adding supplementary lines may decrease the overall average per line for postpaid. • prepaid topup free credits will decrease the prepaid cost. So far this year, already have approx RM35 free credit. • postpaid may have an advantage for roaming. I don't roam much so not sure. • Prepaid data may be speed capped though currently there's no cap for Digi Kuning. |
