Any new 1st gen cars will have this worry no spare parts.

people said the same back in 2017 when protong release X70, over the years there are obvious hiccups, dissatisfactions, problems etc

Since the powertrain like Engine and Gearbox are shared between X50 model which has been around in MY for more than 3 years (China launched 6 years ago) without premature failure, I think these are pretty ok for now.

Although ppl say this 3 cylinder is the dumping ground, but it is still pretty new compared to Toyota that still uses engine tech from about 18 years back, but hey some ppl don't mind paying for old tech which makes Toyota still selling pretty well today.

not surprised if there is such case, but at same time i feel like this is considered the extreme case scenario

Actually the vibration issue is mild, only in the beginning when cold and at low revs. When warmed up, no problem. At driving speed, no different from 4 cylinder.

My worse nightmare also too high tech. Prefer those basic base models. Less worry about any parts breaking down and you can go any mechanic to get it fixed.

For old ppl, better safe to get old tech & less complicated electronics

Ekceli I feel s70 is quite new even though the parts are used by other models. My way is let others to become the Guinea pigs first n then decide.

Just buy the proven value for Money like any other Persona lol. Easy to maintain part wise, reliable, good performance at 1.6, big boot space.

The X50 ad very nice but I sit inside in in grab ride. Meh only. I don't see the value in paying the premium over persona.

Anyhow I was an ex purchaser. I work. Was to buy vehicle parts for the company. What do I know right 🤣😂🤔
