for me the true bad proton is the old persona. Holy hell few years old but closing the door is exactlt the same bang like old lorry door. Rear boot too

sounded like no soundproof at all
never heard proton persona came with no soundproof before or soundproof done wrong

As a car now is the right moment coz there is less of it on the road. One drive u do maybe can see 2 to 3

Later it will look like x70 where it’s everywhere and damn sien

Even new x70 can’t see one also on the road

Overall to me s70 Ada Volvo vibes from design but 3 cilinder is a no no to me. Long run everything will vibrate

Actually the vibration issue is mild, only in the beginning when cold and at low revs. When warmed up, no problem. At driving speed, no different from 4 cylinder.

Since the powertrain like Engine and Gearbox are shared between X50 model which has been around in MY for more than 3 years (China launched 6 years ago) without premature failure, I think these are pretty ok for now.

Although ppl say this 3 cylinder is the dumping ground, but it is still pretty new compared to Toyota that still uses engine tech from about 18 years back, but hey some ppl don't mind paying for old tech which makes Toyota still selling pretty well today.
*
no premature failure?
I think 2 of my friends flywheel got replaced under warranty x50.

My worse nightmare also too high tech. Prefer those basic base models. Less worry about any parts breaking down and you can go any mechanic to get it fixed.

For old ppl, better safe to get old tech & less complicated electronics

Even touch screen also they blur blur already.

Jepunis cars good for old timers or old thinking fella. They want easy, not complicated, so called reliable (less electronics), best RV, best FC.

basic models is these axia and saga..not much choice anymore

dont say 20 years even cars from 10 years ago its different..cars now are far more complicated because need to fit all sort of safety feature then feature to aid driver then need to save fuel need to pass this emission law so smaller engines..so many things and many electronics easier to go wrong..this the thing with modern cars that most ppl dont understand

don't see nothing wrong with old proven tech.

the boring 1.5NA i-vtec or VVT-i at least is reliable enough. just that the CVT is rubbish .
*
If the engine was really that flawless, they wouldn't have come out with the new Dynamic Force engine sad.gif

But like I said, if it works with Malaysian, why not right? it is more friendly in term of cost and profit.
