for me the true bad proton is the old persona. Holy hell few years old but closing the door is exactlt the same bang like old lorry door. Rear boot too

Overall to me s70 Ada Volvo vibes from design but 3 cilinder is a no no to me. Long run everything will vibrate

Since the powertrain like Engine and Gearbox are shared between X50 model which has been around in MY for more than 3 years (China launched 6 years ago) without premature failure, I think these are pretty ok for now.

Although ppl say this 3 cylinder is the dumping ground, but it is still pretty new compared to Toyota that still uses engine tech from about 18 years back, but hey some ppl don't mind paying for old tech which makes Toyota still selling pretty well today.

My worse nightmare also too high tech. Prefer those basic base models. Less worry about any parts breaking down and you can go any mechanic to get it fixed.

For old ppl, better safe to get old tech & less complicated electronics

the boring 1.5NA i-vtec or VVT-i at least is reliable enough. just that the CVT is rubbish .
