I've been letting my ~2 months old babies patrolling around on top of the cage.... and sometimes on the floor in my house....
Yesterday night, one of the babies jumped into their mum cage.... The mum attacked ferociously.... luckily I was there and I separate the mum within 5 seconds.... Good news is no injuries |

QUOTE(nezumitaro @ Jun 14 2008, 09:57 AM) a responsible animal owner is not about how many PETS they have. if you appreciate a life, you will care. you will check on ur pets everyday, being busy and no time to look at them is not an excuse. if really THAT busy, don't get pets, or keep less pets. I understand that you have honest intention of educating people about their pets and at the same time caring for the animals that they have and and that you love so much.... I don't want to flame anybody but there are millions of way to get our point of views across. It is like educating kids at school. There are no 2 children alike.... some of them can absorb like a sponge while the other one will be like pouring water onto a stone.... If the teacher gives up on the latter, there is no point of being a teacher.... the latter might need different approach... and a good teacher is the one who understand the needs of each of his students.... yes, it is quite challenging but worth a lifetime effort.... even though I'm not a teacher, I've naughty friend who got caned all the time by the same teacher, and yet 15 years later hugg the same teacher who caned him.... and the naughty boy is doing quite well in his career....don't you worries the new born are not well feed? don't you worries the new born die and it dirty the cage/tank while ther are others pups around? be a responsible owner, although they are just a small rodent. Same if you're leading an organization, doesn't matter small or big... if you want to get your point across, you've to find ways so that 95% of your people can get it.... there is no one magic way of doing it.... Back to pet keeping... if we keep it this going at the current level, soon nobody will want to visit this thread and looking for information anymore... I believe, newbie like me always want to know real life experience of an experience owner.... what kind of mistakes they've been through that they manage to taste success.... some people like me will always look for a shortcut and impatient while others willing to sacrifice time for their endeavour... however, I'm willing to listen, and along the way learn the secrets no matter if the pets are rodent, fish, birds, snake or whatever.... like a school kids, some will listen if a teacher yell at them while others rebel.... should we say the rebelious one does not deserve to stay in school? |

QUOTE(BlueHeng @ Jun 16 2008, 05:47 PM) No eye at all.... QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Jun 16 2008, 05:54 PM) How old is the pup? If it has empty eye sockets, then it could be something wrong with genetics. This commonly happens with hamsters but only with breedings of mottleds and dominant spots. About 1 month old... empty eye socket.. |
