Hi Sifus,

Our parents own a low cost flat and they are not staying in the property. We 3 brothers have our own house and we know that we are not eligible to inherit the low cost flat. Now, our parents planning to sell them.

Just want to know, touch wood, what will happen to the property if it is not sold after our parents pass away?

Thank you very much.

Help you bump.

I think (meaning I am not sure) you can inherit low cost properties, just cannot buy.

I am also a holder of a low cost flat that I bought in an auction, I would also like to know if I cannot pass the unit to my beneficiaries.

u can inherit, however i dont see any lawyers willing to do it for 'cheap' because its hell of a hassle to get the approval.

but better to just sell it now and split the money.

Thank you very much for the information. I can consult lawyer for further details. However my parents most probably will sell the property to prevent any headaches.
