Hi everyone, as the title suggested i am looking for 2 other people to share an NordVPN account i bought last night .


Why am i looking for 2 only despite apparently an account can have up to 10 user at once ?

So it doesnt easily get abused, right now i am looking at RM 14.91 per month if its just me; not too expensive at all but i figured i could do this thing to save a couple ringgit then no harm in trying right ? (RM 5 Per month per person)

Currently i need to authorized a device of your choice with Google authenticator thats tied to my google account so i can technically manage the amount of user able to use my VPN account



Couple thing to note.
1) Looking for light-moderate internet user so as to potentially not hog the account's bandwidth even though technically it shouldnt matter but i am just putting it out there.

2) Torrent heavy user should stay away because apparently NordVPN is less than ideal for it.

3) I wont be able to see how many user are connected to the account at the time nor the content accessed so you dont need to worry about me invading your privacy.


I did this account sharing thing for Spotify family and had running it for the past 2 years now; i offered these to them and so far none were interested so i figured i should try my luck again here at lowyat forum the same way i found the other 5 spotify user to share account with me.


I think thats all i need to clarify and offer for this proposition ?

If i broke any lowyat fourm T&C or potentially putting my NordVPN account at risk attempting this proposition (i checked the resetting part for both 2 factor authentication + email reset and they need to have the prerequisite access to my gmail account so i should be fine there ? ) ;
feel free to remove this post or point it out for me as i am neither fluent in navigating around lowyat forum nor experienced in using VPN services.

I'm new to this sharing thing but how do I go about it without you knowing my actual identity and private info?

the process goes

you download NordVPN and install on your device.
you need to log in an account so here you use mine.
the system will prompt a window to insert 6 digit number that resets in an interval.
Click to authorize that device as trusted device.

....

yea; it is not a big cost for sure but a ringgit saved is a ringgit saved right ?


other family member/irl friends not tech savvy enough to appreciate it.

i am not dead set on finding anyone to share it with me; if i cant find anyone so be it haha

well, it is not the cheapest but like the 2nd cheapest i think ? After the news about DNS on reddit shared. I figured i should just get a better VPN than the one i got from shopee (its a VPN called PIA).

NordVPN being well advertised has a lot of server across the world and likely suits a lot of typical internet user like me and the others. So i went for it.

i cant see what devices you authorized whatsoever, i could give you a try at it if you want to look around the account and how it goes.

All the reset password/email method require access to my gmail so i am protected in that sense.

a quick and rough research shows NordVPN is better than expressvpn overall so i went for it.

i dont torrent at all.

Last time I used NordVPN the speed was horrible, can't even stream Netflix at 1080p, the quality keeps auto adjusting down to 480p.

Also cancelling my service was a PITA.

The problem of VPN is whenever I connect Malaysia then later Singapore or HK, keep on receiving email that my ISP is everywhere and need to authenticate X Y Z to use.

Netflix also stream slow... only use for VPN was to bypass and watch porn.

torrent speed doesnt affected by tm moves. as long as you can put your torrent in download queue. you need vpn to download the seed file after that can turn off vpn .

So did you manage to install NordVPN?
