Hi all,

I ported/,mp my line from Umobile to celcomdigi on 15Aug, until today i still unable to receive bank TAC/OTP from number 66300. I called bank, they ask me to SMS "UPDATE" to 66300, I tried many times there is no reply anything from 66300, if I tried with my another phone line which is unifi will have reply within 5 seconds stated that"update telco xxxxx". Bank ask me to check with telco, I call CS celcomdigi, they keep say no TAC/OTAP receive in their server and claim this is Bank problem but Bank check their system SMS has been sent out. Then I log multiple report to CelcomDigi, What I always get was "investigation on going as response"

Already almost 3 weeks, my line still cant receive OTP/TAC from 66300, it cause a lot of problem to me, not only bank, my insurance company also use this number to send OTP.

Any next steps I can do before last step I port out again?

Thanks

1. Visit the bank and request to unlink your phone number from your account. Ensure you understand the steps involved.
2. After unlinking, relink your phone number.
3. If the issue persists, escalate the matter by raising a ticket with MCMC. Ensure that the bank or telco does not close the ticket prematurely, and continue to appeal until the issue is fully resolved.

The appeal function is crucial. If the ticket remains open long enough, an actual MCMC representative will intervene, prompting the telco or bank to prioritize resolving the issue correctly.

Bank officer said if I want re-link or change phone number, I need thumbprint at branch then call to CS use my latest number to do verification again.

Bank still send OTP or TAC in SMS? Not all banks using their own app to send notifications for approval?

My suggestion is to call the bank and say you have recently changed telco provider and unable to received OTP. I recently had the same issue after MNP from UMobile to CD. Called UOB about this and within a few hours it’s resolved.
