Others have had to go pick it up. There's an advantage to picking it up though, U get to choose the colour U want |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Sep 12 2009, 05:20 PM) @princess_autumn87, Dear Tinkerbel,Er.. salesperson ?! Er.. Sorry but are U referring to the Platinum Credit Card which is open to all, or the Charge Card?! PS: Maybe I'm just jealous cause I've not been invited by the bank to even decline the offer @ellimist, The benefits of the Charge Card doesn't really outweigh that of the Credit Card; maybe we don't have this 80% discount on air travel but that's based on rack rates so that may still be more expensive *shrugs*. Also the airport lounge is limited to that of KLIA. The Visa Infinite cards give worldwide access And now.. I need to check out the Limousine Transfer thingy to see if any of me cards have it; haven't used any of these before and I think it's high time I started making use of it i received the invitation via mail for charge card and later time amex in charge person called me and follow up my invitation Added on September 12, 2009, 8:30 pm QUOTE(ellimist @ Sep 12 2009, 03:51 PM) Dude chill, everyone has his own opinion. Don't have to start bout being crazy and all the bull. Dear Ellimist,If they were inviting me, and I would utilize the privileges, I would personally pay it myself. We're here to express opinions and give suggestions, I'm not as childish as to ignore another's monetary aspects just "because it's not my own money" As I said, if it's really useful, I think it's worth the price and prestige. Not everyting has to be measured in quantitative benefits. (i.e. I must save more than RM2.3k before I pay out an annual fee of RM2.3k) There're other qualitative aspects as well. Don't be such a chinaman, might I say. Also, if 2.3k in a year is relatively immaterial to the person, what's the big fuss? Anyways, additional benefits I suppose, are mainly, as below: Which is relatively useful if one is a real frequent travel. (say, for business purposes) agreed! QUOTE(ellimist @ Sep 12 2009, 11:16 PM) Hmm 80% is quite a decent percentage, even if rates are racked a lil. Would think that if you take into account regular rates, you should be able to save. Don't compare to promotional stuff of course. Which once against ties back to the fact that if you need to fly frequently (and thus can't wait for promotions), that feature might just be useful as well. Dear Ellimist,As for the lounge, I thought there's - "Other Travel Privileges : International Airport Lounge Access, International Limousine Service, Private Jet" Wasn't someone just talking bout private jets recently in here? =p Yea, must admit, other cards have the limo thingie as well. My fren says it helps his dad alot, when he suddenly needs to fly. No idea what card his dad uses for that feature though. Haha yea, seems tailored to that kinda ppl huh. Thank you princesss =) Well yea, I know it's definately not worthwhile taking the card for ppl like us. Was just trying to show another point in view. You know, just in case Dozz flys a gazillion times a week. The benefits might just make life that much more luxurious for him I don't even earn 6 figures per annum Hmm out of curiousity, say taking our Malaysian tycoons as an example; does Amex offer the Centurion to ppl like them in M'sia? Yes, it really benefits for frequent flyer (i'm one of them) so im still considering whether to take this card or not. |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Sep 12 2009, 11:32 PM) Ah ok, you fly alot on business? Or pleasure o_O ya, i will check it out once i decide to accept the card. maybe i should "induce" dozz to apply and see whether he able to waive the fee first. lmao If you do take the card, let us know how it us, you know, if the travel benefits are really as good as they sound. Maybe you can tempt Dozz into accepting it =p Was actually wondering if they even offer the card here. Just assumed they stopped at Plat in terms of charge card for our market |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Sep 16 2009, 11:02 AM) You can't pay for your AMEX Gold CC (the one without Maybank logo) via any Maybank CDM. Not really sure if you can transfer money from your Maybank savings/checking account but last time i always helped my mom to pay her AMEX Personal charge card bill over the counter. But since it is always hard to find a parking space at the Maybank building, i decided to apply for a Maybank savings account. Now i usually go to Maybank at night to deposit some money into my savings account, then i will go home and transfer the money to AMEX via M2U. It is so much more convenient this way yes, u can jst deposit it and ignore it tho. mbb internet banking transfer also canAdded on September 16, 2009, 2:23 pm QUOTE(vampbreak @ Sep 16 2009, 02:24 AM) @princess_autumn87 Dear Vampbreak,In addition to that, the CS did inform me something interesting about the fee. For plat charge, they will give you another plat charge card with word "A/C" on the card after your name to seperate between personal and business use. This is free and available upon request. For the plat cc, it's free unless you cancel your plat charge card. Which means, if you cancel you plat charge, then you have to pay for the plat cc e:g RM 800p/a. And oh, the will bill you the MYR 2380 anual fee immediately after you received the card. wow, tx for updating me these... i guess we shall experience it now and share u others ltr time. do share yr experience too This post has been edited by princess_autumn87: Sep 16 2009, 02:23 PM |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Sep 30 2009, 11:12 PM) Actually i have a HSBC VISA and HSBC Mastercard. Both cards are given single credit limit. I was told they couldn't combine the credit line of these two cards. Basically both cards are of the same status The rate is based on AMEX own exchange rate, not Maybank's. tx for updating me abt the er |
