Tracking camera cant go that super far, 500 feet at best , also if u talking about a ball detector camera , cant i think, it will eventually loss connection if too far , not useable in current situation where 80km and surge tide sewer water are the problem, how i know about the camera, i saw one before but it is sewer line rope camera but not in my house, other place.

KUALA LUMPUR - The family members of the victim involved in the sinkhole incident at Jalan Masjid India have received an extension of their Social Visit Pass (visa), effective from Monday.

Special Officer to the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Arvend Applasamy, said that the one-month visa extension has been granted to four of the victim’s family members.

He said that the visa had been issued by the Immigration Department to the victim's husband, child, and relatives.

"On behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister (Zahid), I had the opportunity to meet the victim's family today and deliver cash assistance, as well as provide food and beverages.

"The government assures that all necessary arrangements for the victim's family during their stay here will be facilitated," he said at a press conference at the scene today.

He said the government is committed to providing support, including accommodation and counselling sessions from the Health Ministry (MOH) officers.

He also informed that the victim's family has come to terms with the incident.

"The victim’s child has accepted the reality and expressed a wish for the search mission to be expedited so they can see the face of their loved one," he said.

The family expressed their gratitude to the rescue teams, which include the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), and the Civil Defence Force for their sincere and dedicated efforts in carrying out the search and rescue (SAR) operation.

The victim, Vijayaletchumi, 48, originally from Andhra Pradesh, India, was scheduled to return to her home country with her family last Saturday.

The victim was walking through the area when she suddenly fell into the sinkhole, prompting a team of firefighters to be dispatched to the scene at 8.22am last Friday

A technical team from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Malaysia Nuclear Agency has arrived at the scene as the search for Vijayaletchumy, who was swallowed by a sinkhole in Kuala Lumpur, enters its fifth day.

Representatives from the Malaysia Nuclear Agency were seen wheeling a ground-penetrating radar device into the dig site. It is believed that the device will be used to help locate the victim.

Similar devices were also used to locate buried victims during the landslide that occurred in Batang Kali in December 2022.

It was learnt that Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) conducted flushing work in the early hours of Tuesday. Camera equipment was also deployed into the sewer following the flushing operations to inspect the system.

An overhaul was carried out at the IWK Pantai Dalam plant, with IWK personnel working alongside the Fire and Rescue Department. Yesterday, high-pressure jetting was performed to clear debris at one of the manholes near the sinkhole on Jalan Masjid India, in hopes of finding Vijayaletchumy, who went missing after the incident.


Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said that IWK was conducting flushing operations at each manhole, while search efforts continued at the Pantai Dalam plant.

Search teams utilised pushrod and crawler-mounted cameras to inspect the sewerage system for the victim. The crawler discovered that solid debris was obstructing the pipes near the sinkhole site.

The high-pressure jets, capable of spraying water at a maximum pressure of 200 bar (2,900 psi), were used to clear the blockages.
